ADD LightStim ACNE THERAPY
LightStim Acne devices simultaneously emit Blue and Red wavelengths of light. These wavelengths work together to kill acne-causing bacteria, effectively calming breakouts and reducing redness for visibly improved, clear skin. LightStim Acne devices restore the skin’s healthy appearance.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET CLEAR?
Because it takes up to 90 days for acne to form, you may still have 90 days of acne that will surface. Our acne products and protocol will keep the new acne from forming that would surface 90 days from now. The Face Reality Acne System will have your acne under control in about three to six months (in most cases) depending on your type of acne. Some types of acne take longer to clear. Your Acne Specialist will customize a home care regimen that takes at least five things into consideration - your type of acne, your skin type, your skin color, your skin sensitivity and your environment. The biggest part of getting your skin clear will be your commitment to doing your home care regimen as instructed and following lifestyle guidelines.
TREATMENTS
Very mild corrective peels are used to boost the home care along with extractions of existing acne. If your skin is dry or irritated, we will opt for an enzyme/steam with extractions.

Your progress will be closely monitored by a Face Reality Certified Acne Specialist who will make sure you have the best regimen for your skin, adjusting, if necessary, to get your skin healthy and clear in the fastest way possible.
WHAT ARE ADJUSTMENTS TO HOME CARE?
We assess your skin every two weeks to see if we can make your regimen a bit stronger. We do not want your skin to get used to products, but also not make the regimen so strong that your skin gets dry and irritated. This method will keep your skin clearing up. It’s important to know that if adjustments are not made, your progress may stall. If, for some reason, you cannot make it in for a treatment, you must contact your Acne Specialist to get your next set of instructions for home care adjustment.
CUSTOM TREATMENT PLANS
Every person has a unique situation, with many different types of skin with a range of problems and conditions. The treatment that will help you reduce the appearance of serious acne scars, or active cases of acne, must be determined by a full evaluation of your skin, as well as your health history.
Your acne scar removal treatment may involve laser, microneedling, various chemical peels as appropriate, skin resurfacing, or a combination of treatments, based upon the scope and depth of the scars. The first thing to know is that something effective can be done to improve the appearance and health of your skin.

PlasmaMD TECHNOLOGY

WHAT IS ACNE?
Acne is an inherited disorder of the pores – pores that shed dead skin cells much faster than normal. Normal pores shed about one layer of dead skin cells per day inside the pore. The acne-prone pore sheds up to five layers of dead skin cells per day and the body just can’t keep up. This forms the microcomedone, the beginning of all acne. Taking up to 90 days, it turns into blackheads or congestion under the skin; or if bacteria is present (which just loves to feed on the dead skin cells and oil), it turns into inflamed pimples or pustules and maybe even cysts.

TYPES OF SCARRING
Due to its inflammatory and bacterial aspects, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after acne is considered its own category in the world of discoloration and scarring. This differs from sunspots or hyperpigmentation that is the result of an increase in melanin from UV exposure and environmental stressors, both of which can lead to damage that can manifest as brown spots.
If there's been too much skin warping by the original pimple, it may cause a scar that looks indented. Or on the other end of the texture spectrum, when the blemish heals a little too well, you can get an excess of skin added that forms a bump or raised scar. Either way, acne scars cause a textural change that leaves hills and valleys on the face that bother people greatly.

HOW DOES RADIOFREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING WORK?
Radiofrequency skin tightening, or RF treatment, is a non-invasive procedure that some doctors do in their office. The doctor will use a wand that is connected to a machine that creates radio waves. They will pass the wand over your body to apply radio waves to your skin.
The waves give off heat that prompts your skin to produce more collagen and elastin. The treatment also speeds up cell turnover, so the skin gets firmer and thicker over time.
WHAT'S GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE GETTING RADIOFREQUENCY SKIN TIGHTENING?
SAFETY
Radiofrequency skin tightening is considered safe and effective. The FDA has approved it for reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
EFFECTS
You may start to see changes to your skin right away. The most significant improvements to skin tightness will come later. Skin can keep getting tighter up to six months after the radiofrequency treatment.
RECOVERY
Normally, since this procedure is completely noninvasive, you won’t have much of a recovery time. You may be able to go back to normal activities right after the treatment.
In the first 24 hours, you may see some redness or feel tingling and soreness. Those symptoms disappear relatively quickly.
HOW MANY TREATMENT SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Typically, the number of treatment sessions range from3-6 treatments, depending upon the actual application needed, and each patient. Please consult with your practitioner to better understand your individual needs.

The Fraxel creates tiny “columns of thermal destruction” AKA small heat injuries to the skin to stimulate the growth of new, healthy skin cells improving the overall appearance of your skin.
